Biblical Exhortation:
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1, ESV)
Let us be vigilant and discerning, always seeking truth and rejecting falsehood. May the Holy Spirit guide us into all truth and protect us from the arrows of deceit.
Confession:
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that we live in a world filled with deception and lies. We confess that at times, we have been susceptible to falsehood, either through ignorance, naivety, or the subtle craftiness of the enemy. We have sometimes allowed doubt and confusion to cloud our judgment. Forgive us, Lord, for every time we have embraced or acted upon deceit. We turn away from all forms of deception and commit ourselves to seeking and embracing Your truth alone. Cleanse our hearts and minds, and establish us firmly on the foundation of Your Word. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
